Parisian Gem

On a recent trip to Paris, I discovered a cheap little hotel gem. The once rundown Hôtel Paradis has been transformed into a boutique hotel by French designer Dorothée Meilichzon. It has just been shortlisted for the best new urban hotel, awarded by the iconic Wallpaper magazine.  Meilichzon has used wallpaper to great effect, adding interest and tricking the eye. Located near the Gare du Nord, the hotel is housed in one of Paris' typical Haussmannian buildings.  The beautiful attic rooms overlook the city rooftops and the Eiffel Tower.

Walk In The Woods

Jane Churchill Wallpaper

The past three weeks have been chaotic since bringing our gorgeous baby girl Sophia home.  To top it off my computer decided to play up, hence the lack of posts.

I am finally back on board, new computer and bubbly baby girl in tow!

I'm putting the finishing touches on Sophia's room, but I have fallen in love with this Jane Churchill wallpaper.  Based on Winnie the Pooh and depicting the Hundred Acre Wood, it would make the perfect backdrop for anyone contemplating a gender neutral nursery.

Pattern Play

It is amazing the impact a bit of well placed pattern makes.  I had this Designers Guild wallpaper installed recently in one of my clients rooms.  The geometric print breaths life into this vingette.

Petite Princess

My Work - Interior Design & Image Styling Bree Oliver
Photography by John Paul Urizar

I designed this bedroom fit for a princess. I must admit it is one of my favourite children's spaces. The room is just as sweet as the little girl Anna who inhabits the space.

I recently styled the above image for Home Beautiful Magazine. The April addition, out now showcases the entire house. Grab a copy to see more of this pretty home.

Cultural Mix

I am not normally a huge fan of heavy Chinese furniture but this image has made me re-think my position. The promotional shot for Catherine Martins Cockatoo wallpaper for Porters Paint is exquisitely styled. Ornate Asian furniture pairs beautiful with the iconic Australian bird print and native flowers.
